Stone Ridge Estates
Terrace, BC
To satisfy the increasing demand for single residency affordable housing, the Ksan House Society partnered with BC Housing to produce the Haugland Housing Project. The three-storey, 45-unit building is owned and managed by the Ksan House Society and is open to lower-income people paying rent fixed to income. The 4,037 m2 building is constructed with cast-in-place concrete foundation with a combination of dimensional and engineered wood-frame structure.
Energy efficiency considerations include outboard rigid insulation, high-performance vinyl windows and doors, on-demand gas water heater, and heat recovery ventilators. Exterior finishes consist of cementitious plank siding, cultured stone, and SBS roofing. This development will make a huge community impact. It directly addresses the community’s lower-income housing needs.
