As the first cross-laminated timber (CLT) building in Kamloops, the school showcases innovative CLT framing paired with durable metal siding. The new two-storey, K–7 school is designed to accommodate a total occupancy of 585, including 485 student seats and a Neighbourhood Learning Centre with capacity for 60 community members. Built with mass timber, it achieves a 50% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional construction methods, setting a strong benchmark for sustainable educational facilities.

The building includes 23 classrooms, a full-size gymnasium to support physical education and community events, a library, four offices, and flexible, modern learning spaces that foster collaboration, creativity, and future-focused learning. Complementing the interior, the site is enhanced with thoughtful landscaping, including a pond and an Aboriginal healing garden, creating opportunities for outdoor learning and community connection.
